The Sokoto State University (SSU) Library, which was opened in October 2013, is presently located in the temporary building as an interim measure. A modern two-storey library complex building situated at the centre of the academic area on campus is currently under construction. The Library is a hybrid system that is rich in both electronic information resources and collections of print books, journals and other periodicals provided to support teaching, learning and research activities in the university. Faculty libraries have also been established while departmental libraries will be established in due course with a view to enhancing service delivery to the University community.
